In this contemporary take on the classic fairytale Sleeping Beauty, reimagined by Amarenta Leyva, the famous princess is depicted as an overprotected daughter looking for a way to break free of her castle walls in order to search for her true love and true self.

Head Sculpting Workshop

Join artist Peter Zokosky for a daylong intensive sculpture workshop on modeling the head from live models. Tour the Villa's galleries to explore Greco-Roman sculpted portraits, then return to the studio for exercises focusing on correct proportion and modeling facial features. Each participant will take home a sculpted head in oil-based clay. Open to 24 participants.

Fireworks Show at Malibu Pier

Malibu residents get ready — a fireworks show is scheduled for Friday evening to take place in the waters off Malibu Pier. "The display is scheduled to begin at approximately 9:30 PM," reads a notice on the City of Malibu website.
